City Council to consider alternate-side changes

The New York City Council opens a hearing Tuesday to measure support for a new form of alternate side parking.

Some council members are rallying behind the plan.

It would allow drivers to park on the restricted side of a street if the street has already been cleaned or if they remain in their cars and move them when the cleaner arrives.
