Bloomberg heading to D.C. to push 9/11 health bill

November 16, 2010 2:05:14 PM PST
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg goes to Washington Tuesday.

He will try to help New York's Congressional delegation push the 9/11 health bill through Congress.

The measure would provide $7.4 billion in healthcare and compensation for ground zero workers.

The House has already passed it.

To clear the Senate, several Republicans must be swayed.

It's no easy task, since many incoming GOP legislators have vowed to cut federal spending.
