New Jersey's largest city is waiving interest and penalties for residents who owe property taxes and water and sewer payments.

Mayor Cory Booker announced on Monday the amnesty program will continue through the end of the month.

Booker says the program is needed during these challenging economic times and will generate millions of dollars in revenue for the city.

Payments must be made for the entire delinquent period.

Payments postmarked after Nov. 30 will be assessed interest and penalties.
