An elderly driver has been sentenced up to four years in prison for killing a New York City traffic agent and her newborn baby.

Walter Walker, 74, was given the maximum term Monday after he was found guilty of two counts of criminally negligent homicide and driving without a license.

Walker's van hit and killed 33-year-old Donnette Sanzin in the Bronx in 2008.

Sanz was pregnant.

Doctors saved her unborn son, but he died eight days later.
