NYPD hunts for robber in the Bronx

BRONX

Police have surveillance video of the suspect, who is identified as 48-year-old David Piparo.

According to police, Piparo has targeted at least three stores in the Schuylerville and Baychester sections.

On Wednesday, November 10, at 5 p.m., police said Piparo tried to rob the We Buy Gold pawn shop. He pointed a black handgun at an employee, but got away with nothing.

The next night at 8:10, Piparo allegedly entered the Game Stop store at 43 Westchester Square and brandished a black handgun. He demanded cash from the registers and then locked the two employees in a back room. He got away with cash and two game consoles.

He struck a third time on Monday, November 15, at 8 p.m. Again, Piparo held up a Game Stop store at 2163 White Plains Road. Police said he showed a black firearm, demanded property and cash and then fled on foot.

Piparo, 48, is described as 5'10", 195 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has multiple tattoos and a scar under one eye. In each incident, police said he was wearing white sneakers, black or blue jeans and a black jacket.
