The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office has charged a 30-year-old man with second-degree murder after deputies found the body of his girlfriend in the home they shared.

After receiving calls from concerned acquaintances, deputies found the body of 25-year-old Tyrese Storms Friday afternoon in her home in Pleasant Valley, 75 miles north of New York City. They arrested her boyfriend, Robert Loucks, who was at the home when authorities found the body. The cause of death was not released.

Loucks was arraigned Saturday afternoon in Hyde Park Town Court and sent to Dutchess County Jail without bail. Officials didn't know if he had a lawyer.
