Heating prices on the rise on Long Island

Heating oil prices on Long Island are shooting up, hitting their highest point in two years.

The price has climbed almost 10 cents in the last week.

The average price at full-service dealers is now more than $3.37 a gallon.

Industry analysts say they expect the upward trend to continue.

Since mid-August, the price of heating oil on Long Island has jumped 40 cents a gallon.
