Another wrong-way drunk driver

December 16, 2010 1:30:06 PM PST
The seventh wrong-way driver in the past five weeks on Long Island.

Do you detect a trend?

I wrote about drunk driving laws not being tough enough. But starting today, anyone convicted of driving under the influence will have to surrender their car.

Now that makes sense. How long before the law is adopted everywhere? We'll have the latest tonight at 11.

Also at 11, new controversy surrounding the New York City contracted animal shelter. Our investigative reporter Sarah Wallace broke the story of allegations of neglect.

Now Sarah's uncovered evidence that adoptable animals are being killed on a daily basis because of overcrowding and budget cuts by the Dept. of Health.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Scott Clark with the night's sports. I hope you can join Liz Cho and me, tonight at 11.
