Chester principal reinstated after investigation

CHESTER, N.Y.

During a meeting in Chester, the school board reinstated principal Ernest Jackson and school psychologist Pam Kavenagh.

Jackson's lawyer claims an adult relative of the students let the principal into the house.

But, the children's mother claims Jackson showed up uninvited after she called the school to say her children were sick.

After conducting its own investigation, the State Department of Education determined the two were fit to resume their jobs.

Many parents were frustrated with the school board's decision to continue its own investigation, despite the fact that police said no crime had taken place.
