A driver rushing two critically stabbed men to the hospital collided with a taxi cab in Hempstead, sending the vehicles spinning out of control and striking a pedestrian.

One of the stabbing victims has died. The other victim remains in critical condition.

The men, in their 20s, were stabbed at an unknown location sometime before 3 a.m. Thursday, according to police.

They were being driven to the hospital by a friend when he lost control of his car at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Clinton Street.

The car careened into a taxi, and a pedestrian was struck into the ensuing spinout.

The two passengers had to be extricated from the taxi. They were taken to Nassau University Medical Center.

The pedestrian, also a man in his 20s, was taken to Mercy Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Detectives were interviewing the driver of the car to determine the location of the initial double stabbing.

No arrests were immediately made.
