An electrical fire at Harrison Towers forced the evacuation of about 300 apartments in Franklin, New Jersey, Sunday.

The fire department is keeping about 600 people out of their homes.

One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

Officials believe the flames broke out in a seventh-floor electrical panel around 8 p.m.

Power to the building has been shut off as repairs are made.

The Red Cross is helping people not staying with family or friends or in a hotel.

It's not clear when residents will be able to return home.
