The ice came through the windshield of the 1998 Jeep Wrangler on lower Glen Road.
The victim, 51-year-old Cheryl Desiderio-Hubere suffered injuries to her mouth, eyes, neck and back. She was transported to Newton Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say the box truck owned by Heinie Plumbing and Heating, was being driven by 28-year-old Krostopher Heine.
The cars were headed east when several pieces of ice were blown off the roof of the truck, striking the grill and hood of the Jeep, and then smashing out the driver's side of the windshield.
Sparta Police are warning all motorists that they are legally responsible to properly remove snow and ice from their motor vehicles before operating them on the roadway.
A driver could also be held civilly liable for any damages or injuries that are sustained as a result of one's failure to properly and safely clean snow and ice from their motor vehicle.
