With more snow in the forecast, New York City has declared a snow alert for Wednesday.

The Department of Sanitation says the alert starts at 7:00 a.m.

A snow alert is a readiness notification of a possible snow storm alerting DSNY personnel and starting initial equipment readiness for storm response.

In a snow alert, salt spreaders are loaded and plows attached.

New York City is under a winter storm watch for Wednesday and Wednesday night.

AccuWeather predicts around 6 inches of snow from the storm.
