A fast food worker was viciously attacked by a group of teenage girls who were fighting and throwing food inside a Wendy's restaurant in Queens Village.

When the worker tried to break it up, the suspects pounced on her. And it was all captured on video.

Michelle Ortiz says she did what she had to do and tried to break-up the food fight.

She was saved by a co-worker, but suffered a concussion.

The videotape, shot by someone in the crowd and posted on YouTube, is being studied by NYPD detectives in an attempt to identify the attackers.

"This vicious attack on our female employee was shocking and uncalled for," a franchise spokesperson said. "We are cooperating with the police in their investigation."

Witnesses told police the attackers were students at nearby Martin Van Buren High School.

Ortiz, a single mom, depends on her job to raise her five children.

No arrests have been made at this time.
