Police on Staten Island are searching for a man and a woman who viciously attacked and robbed an elderly couple and their son.

It happened Sunday night in the Tompkinsville section.

Police say 81-year-old Joseph Naimo and his 74-year-old wife, Linda, had just closed their store on Victory Boulevard, when the thieves pushed them into a stairwell of their apartment next door.

They were then punched and kicked repeatedly.

When their 49-year-old son tried to stop the attack, he was also beaten.

The suspects took off with just $18.

Linda Naimo is in critical condition with a broken nose, jaw and fractured skull.

Joseph Naimo and his son suffered cuts and bruises.

"He kept saying, 'Give me the money,'" Joseph said. "I told him I didn't have money. He kept on swinging. He never stopped swinging. He put his hand in my pocket and he grabbed the few dollars I had, $18. And that was it. And he kept on swinging like he was going to kill us."

The male suspect is described as a black male, 6-foot tall and wearing a dark-colored hoody.

The female suspect is described as a black female, who was wearing a dark-colored hoody with fur around the hood.

There is a $12,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the above suspects.
