New York considers crackdown on discount buses

The discount bus industry in New York City is being put on notice.

The bus companies are big business, and some charge as little as a dollar for a ride to Boston.

But Albany lawmakers will take up a new regulation bill Friday to reign in bus operators who double park and block thoroughfares in Chinatown and Midtown.

Restaurants and shops in those areas say the walls of buses are hurting business.
