Little league coach accused of child molesting

David Hartshorn, 52, was charged with criminal sexual acts and endangering the welfare of a child.

The victims, ages 13, 14 and 16, played on the team that he coached.

The alleged assaults occurred, likely in Hartshorn's home since July 2009, investigators said.

Prosecutors say investigators pulled a mountain of video evidence from the coach's house. Child pornography is on the videos, they say.

Prosecutors say Hartshorn was the coach of the Rochdale Little League team and administrator of the team's Facebook page.

Hartshorn was named coach of the year at one point.

While little league officials say the team has been chartered since 1981, they will not comment any further. It's also unclear if any background checks were made on Hartshorn.

During his arraignment, Hartshorn collapsed. He did not lose consciousness and was revived.

He will be held without bail and his next court date is Feb. 28.

Carl Findley has spoken to the four boys and he also knows the suspect well.

He says the suspect called him from jail and blamed the children.
