Brooklyn hospital to close doors after aid delay

BROOKLYN

Officials at Long Island College Hospital says they've been told the state will delay $62 million in grants.

That money would have allowed a merger with SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

According to the New York Times, health officials told the hospital the delay is due to a broader effort to rethink the state's Medicaid program.
