Fire in Paterson, New Jersey, displaces residents

A smoky fire put more than a dozen people out on the street in Paterson, New Jersey, early Friday morning.

The fire broke out on Grand Avenue before 2 a.m. and reached three alarms.

Flames spread to a neighboring building and took hours to bring under control.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
