PATH sees 2.3 percent increase in ridership

Things are looking up for PATH trains after an increase in ridership last year.

The Port Authority says ridership totaled nearly 74 million in 2010.

That's a 2.3 percent jump from the year before.

Some experts say it's a key sign the economy is improving.

Also, a fare hike on New Jersey Transit may have prompted some commuters to switch to the PATH.
