Intel: Suspected US missiles kill 4 in Pakistan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan

The strike indicates the U.S. is unwilling to abandon the tactic, even amid heated tensions with Pakistan over the arrest of an American who shot two Pakistanis and whom Washington insists has diplomatic immunity.

The two intelligence officials say three missiles hit a house overnight Monday in the Kaza Panga village of the Azam Warsak area in South Waziristan tribal region.

They spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to media on the record.

Pakistan's tribal regions are key hideouts for Taliban and al-Qaida fighters.
