His little league team helped raise money to help pay for his medical expenses, in addition to another special gift.
"Welcome home Jesse!" his team yelled.
It was a moment Jesse Iacovetta dreamed about for weeks, reuniting with his teammates from "The Forest Hills Bombers".
You see this is more like a family then a little league team, one that rallied around this all star athlete when he needed it the most.
Jesse was home alone last month when a fire trapped him inside his living room.
He frantically called his father, and what Billy heard next was heart-wrenching: Jesse's screams as the heat burned his skin.
"I was helpless, I couldn't sleep in the beginning this is to much, to hear him in pain it was very traumatic and is something that will stay with me the rest of my life," said Billy Iacovetta, Jesse's father.
12-year-old Jesse now wears special protective gloves and sleeves 23 hours a day.
But Monday, was about looking ahead.
His friends surprised him with a new iPod touch, which was the one thing Jesse kept asking about, because his was destroyed in the fire.
"Since he lost everything in his home, we decided to get him something that makes him feel happy and not sit around and do nothing all day," said Jesse's teammate.
Doctors say Jesse will make a full recovery, but it will be a long road filled with rehab and doctors visits, not to mention the thousands of dollars worth of medical bills his family is facing.
The kids also gave Jesse's parents a $5,000 check to help pay for those bills.
"It touches my heart tremendously to be here today and to be surrounded by so many people who love him, it's incredible," Billy Iacovetta said.
