New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is reportedly getting a grand slam of a tax break on his new $6 million apartment on the West Side.

A-Rod will pay about $1,200 this year in real estate taxes for his new 3,000-square foot apartment in the Rushmore.

Rodriguez is taking advantage of a little known tax abatement offer called the 421A Program.

It allows a 98 percent tax abatement for up to 25 years for condo and apartment owners in newly built housing.

A normal tax bill for Rodriguez' place is about $60,000.
