So while other gas stations in the Garden State have been slowly hiking prices all week, the stations on the Turnpike and Parkway could not bring their prices to current market rates until Friday morning.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority surveys 100 gas stations, located off the highway, every Wednesday and Thursday to determine an average price. The service area per-gallon cost cannot be more than 3 cents above that average price.
Price changes:
Gallon of regular from $3.08 to $3.25
Gallon of middle grade from $3.22 to $3.37
Gallon of premium from $3.33 to $3.48
