There are reports of a big spike in crime in New York City parks, including robberies in Central Park.

According to a published report, crime in parks jumped nearly 25 percent least year.

In Central Park, major incidents rose about 50 percent.

The biggest increase, however, was in Crotona Park in the Bronx, where there were 36 major crimes last year compared to just seven the year before.

Police blame much of the increase on thieves stealing unattended property.
