The NYPD is using undercover officers to crack down on Metro Card swipers who break vending machines and then sell rides for a dollar.

Swiper arrests are up 21 percent.

Police say they're using MTA repair-reports to figure out which stations have the biggest problems.

The New York Daily News reports some swipers brag they're making $300 to $400 a day.
