/*Eddy Coello*/ was officially charged in court with second-degree murder.
Coello was arrested and charged for his ex-wife's murder on the same day as her funeral. He didn't say anything Tuesday night as he was led out of the precinct in handcuffs. But the people standing in the crowd outside had plenty to say.
They berated the murder suspect as he was led off to jail.
"I'd like to strangle him like he did to her," said Tom Herrera, a friend of the victim's family.
Coello is accused in the murder of his wife, 40-year-old /*Tina Adovasio*/, whose body was found strangled and beaten.
Why the /*Throgs Neck*/ nurse and mother of four was brutally murdered is still under investigation, but almost from the beginning, detectives zeroed in on her husband.
He's a former housing cop with a history of domestic violence incidents.
Coello had been arrested in the past for attacking Adovasio, and she took out an order of protection against him when she filed for divorce last month.
She was last seen at home on March 11.
Last week, her body was discovered about 40 miles away in a wooded area of /*Yorktown Heights*/ in /*Westchester County*/.
Investigators allege Coello drove a burgundy sedan to the area and dumped the body.
Coello's attorney says her client maintains his innocence.
Adovasio's friends aren't buying it.
"He did it that's the bottom line," one friend said.
"I just want the family to know, I feel their pain," another friend said.
During questioning last week, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said Coello was asked to provide a DNA sample, but refused.
Adovasio's ex-husband, Joe Adovasio, helped police identify the body by telling them about a Sunburst tattoo on her ankle.
"I seen her when she came to me, when she was beaten up," he said.
"She confided in me with certain things, and it's because she's my friend," Margot Paladines said. "And I did see bruises. But I never judge."
When Tina did not answer a text message and went missing, Paladines and others became very concerned.
"I was hoping for us to find her alive," Paladines said.
Coello was ordered held without bail and is scheduled to be back in court on Monday, March 28th.
