Alexander Alfaro was arrested in Virginia two weeks after the killings. Two defendants, including Alfaro's half-brother Rodolfo Godinez, are serving multiple life sentences for the murders. Three others are awaiting their trials.
On Wednesday, prosecutors are expected to play a taped statement Alfaro made to authorities after his arrest. On Tuesday, they agreed to delete references to an alleged sexual assault that occurred during the attack. Alfaro is not charged with sexual assault.
Terrance Aeriel, Dashon Harvey and Iofemi Hightower died from gunshot wounds to the back of the head. A fourth victim survived and testified against Alfaro.
