Study: Cereal may help keep blood pressure low

A bowl of cereal a day may keep high blood pressure away.

A new study that followed a group of men found the men who ate seven or more bowls of cereal a week had a 19 percent lower risk of developing high blood pressure than the men who didn't eat any cereal.

The benefits were even greater if the men ate whole grain cereals.

Eating heart-healthy foods and limiting salt intake can help maintain a healthy blood pressure.
