That is the idea offered at Pins and Needles. In fact, that is one of many ideas.
Pin and Needles opened on the /*Upper East Side*/ in February.
"I've always loved sewing and needle work," owner /*Rachel Low*/ said. "It is a passion of mine."
Low got the idea to open Pins and Needles when her husband bought her a sewing machine. She welcomes everyone to her shop. "Whether you've never thread a needle, or you're quite skilled, you're welcome," Low said.
Low credits her mother, who taught her to sew, for her skills and love of sewing.
Low feels the special traits picked up from sewing and, more importantly, her Pins and Needles shop is camaraderie and craftiness. Not to mention, your old sweaters get to have a whole new look.
"It's a great way to spend a couple of hours," Low said. "And you can feel great about yourself."
