The art of food photography

NEW YORK

The /*Institute of Culinary Education*/ is usually where people go to become chefs, but the institute is now serving up something entirely different by offering a workshop class on how to make food look good in print.

A wrinkly chicken may be tasty, but it's hardly photogenic. When you see a good food picture, it's less about the cooking and more about the styling.

The workshop is not a photography class, it is a food marketing class, which is a great fit for Kristen Hess who has a food blog.

"It's sort of cooking, but cooking for the camera," she says.

The workshop is also great for those looking to take their career in a different direction.
