Arrest in grandma stray bullet shooting case

There has been an arrest in a stray bullet shooting that killed a grandmother and outraged a community in Brooklyn.

Malcolm Mitchell, 26, was taken into custody on Friday for shooting a man in the leg.

While police were interrogating him, Mitchell made statements implicating him in the August 2009 murder of Anna Surman.

Surman, an 87-year-old grandmother, was feeding cats outside her building in Coney Island when she was hit with a stray gunshot.

Mitchell has been charged with murder.
