All My Children and One Life to Live will air their final episodes in September 2011 and January 2012, respectively.
These decisions were made to meet the evolving needs and appetite of daytime viewers, ABC said.
ABC will air two new shows, one about food and the other about lifestyle transformations.
"The Chew" will premiere in September 2011 and "The Revolution" (working title) will premiere in January 2012.
General Hospital will remain on the air, joining The View and the two new series to anchor ABC's daytime lineup.
