Detectives from the state police Major Crimes Squad processed the scene and tentatively identified the body, although all information is being withhold pending notification of next of kin.
Police say the body is believed to be that of a Connecticut resident.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief State's Medical Examiner.
The investigation continues.
