Sixteen people involved in an extraordinary kidney transplant chain reunited Thursday night in New Jersey.
Eight donors and eight recipients came together. Most are from New Jersey and Staten Island.
Some were meeting for the first time.
They are linked through St. Barnabas' unique living donor registry.
It's the only one of its kind in the United States.
Willing organ donors who are incompatible can join the exchange to be matched with others facing a similar situation.
Eight patients received kidneys back in February.
Eyewitness News is told that all of the patients are doing well.
