Growing frustration over Newark's public education system.

Parents were camped out overnight, hoping to register their children for kindergarten at one of the most sought-after schools in Newark.

The parents are waiting outside Ann Street Elementary in Newark.

The school has a reputation for being one of the best in the city and space is limited.

It's a situation echoing throughout Newark's education system.

Meantime the city has narrowed its search for a new superintendent, but still doesn't have one nailed down.

Governor Chris Christie says the state will select a candidate by the end of the month.

He also says he wants to open more charter schools in the city to make quality education, more widely-available.
