The burglaries started at the end of March.

In each incident, the suspect or suspects entered the church and fled with cash.

A burglary at St. Joseph's Cursillo Center on West 230th Street is being investigated as a grand larceny because there was no forced entry. Seventy-five hundred dollars was taken from a safe there.

Other churches targeted include the Mission Pentecostal Church at 168 West 225th Street on March 26th. Six thousand dollars was stolen from a safe, officials said.

That same day, sometime after 8:00 p.m., $59 was taken from a cabinet at St. Stephen United Methodist Church on West 228th Street.

The most recent burglary happened on April 15. Sometime after 12:45 a.m., $300 was taken from a safe at the Fordham Manor Reformed Church at 2705 Reservoir Avenue.
