Ryan P. Quinn, 45, of 1062 Park Boulevard, Massapequa Park has been arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an accident with Death.
Quinn will be arraigned in First District Court, 99 Main Street, in Hempstead on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
The victim has been identified as Anthony J. DeRosa, 64 of Floral Park.
The DeRosa was walking across Sunrise Highway in Bellmore when he was hit around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
It happened across the street from the train station.
Nassau County police say the Quinn was headed east on Sunrise Highway and never stopped.
The highway was closed in both directions for a time between Centre Avenue and Bedford Avenue while police investigated.
