Bronx teacher's aide arrested in drug scandal

BRONX

IS 98 school aide Anthony Davis is behind bars inside the 42nd precinct in the /*Bronx*/.

That's where he spent most of the day being questioned by police, after investigators took him out of the Boston Road school at around midday Friday.

His career with the /*Department of Education*/ is in serious jeopardy.

He's accused of something unthinkable: Influencing students at the school in the wrong way.

Police allege that he pushed a 15-year-old student at the school to sell drugs.

According to police, on two occasions the 41-year-old tried to put marijuana in the student's pocket.

Investigators allege Davis threatened the student, approaching him with a knife in his hand, plunging the knife into a table, and allegedly saying, "Do you remember what I told you, if you don't do this for me I will kill you and hurt your siblings and mother."

Davis is charged with misdemeanors including weapons possession, endangering the welfare of a child, and menacing.
