9/11 Health Conference held in NYC

LOWER MANHATTAN

So Saturday a conference in /*Lower Manhattan*/ tried to answer some of their questions.

All-day workshops updated /*9/11 responders*/ and their families, about the physical and mental conditions many are experiencing.

They were informed about benefits for which they may qualify and how the /*Zadroga Act*/ passed by Congress last year will affect them.

"People feel very isolated and very alone and quite frankly scared about what's happening to them and what might happen to them. And this is an opportunity for people to get together and to learn what this program is about, what it can do, how it's changing now with the 9/11 Health Act," said Micki Siegel de Hernandez from Communications Workers of America.

The conference was organized by the /*World Trade Center Monitoring and Treatment Program*/.
