Group destroys Dunkin' Donuts in Greenwich Village

GREENWICH VILLAGE

The group of young people caused thousands of dollars in damage.

The teenagers in the video either don't know the cameras are rolling, or they just don't care.

On videotape you see them trashing a /*Greenwich Village*/ Dunkin' Donuts shop.

There are at least 10 people involved, stealing food and drinks, and doing their best to destroy this Christopher Street business.

What happened at the Dunkin' Donuts is just the latest in a string of incidents in the Village.

There was another one caught on camera in late March.

Two men brutally assaulted Damian Furtch outside a McDonald's at West Third and 6th Avenue.

In the surveillance video you can see how one punch almost knocked the victim into traffic.

Some business owners in the Village see crime in the area as a problem.

Nick Atrach says a few weeks ago, someone threw a bottle, shattering the front window of his store.

And then there's Romany Hanna.

He says he was robbed at gunpoint recently.

Back to what happened inside the Dunkin' Donuts, police tell Eyewitness News they are aware of the video and they are investigating.
