Other ways for allergy relief

If you have allergies, you are most likely suffering big time and sneezing your way thru this entire spring.

This allergy season has been one of the worst on record because of the extreme winter we've had.

Claritin, Benadryl, Nasonex. We've all seen the commercials.

For many people, allergy medicines do bring relief from the stuffy noses and itchy eyes that come with allergy season, but those medications often come with side effects. But there are natural remedies that can help clear your sinuses without clouding your mind.

If you're feeling stuffy, try eating spicy foods. Peppers, onions, garlic, or cayenne pepper can all be added to just about any dish and the spices act as a natural decongestant. Also, add two or three teaspoons of local honey to your diet every day.

Local honey is made by bees in your area, and contains the low doses of the pollen that's probably triggering your allergies. The honey acts almost like an allergy shot, building your tolerance to the pollen around you and relieving your symptoms.

Just a few ways to keep from sniffling and sneezing this spring.
