She is so vulnerable that to go in her hospital room, you need to wear a mask and gloves.
"She is the most important thing in my life - I just want to make sure we have many more years together," Ayelet's father, Seth Galena, said.
Isabel Greyson is with DKMS Americas, the group looking for a bone marrow donor. So far, celebrities such as /*Rihanna*/, /*Eva Mendes*/ and /*50 Cent*/ are in the mix to help find a match for Ayelet.
"Ayelet has a severe bone marrow deficiency that impairs her ability to support an immune system, and so getting a transplant is going to be her lifeline," said Hindy Galena, Ayelet's mother.
"It is a 15-second swab inside your cheek to see if you're a match to save a life," Greyson said.
The family and DKMS have organized a donor-registration drive where people can stop by to get swabbed all day Sunday. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Jewish Community Center at 334 Amsterdam Ave at 76th street.
