Police have made an arrest in the death of a man outside a Long Island pool hall following a fight early Sunday.

Suffolk County police arrested 23-year-old Jairon Gonzales-Martinez, of Brentwood, who is charged with second-degree murder in the incident.

According to authorities, two men were attacked by a group outside of the Fiesta Pool Hall in Brentwood before 2 a.m. Sunday. Police are not sure why the assault took place, but robbery does not appear to be the motive.

When they arrived to the scene, police found 29-year-old Rumaldo Bethancourt-Lopez dead from apparent head trauma. Police believe both parties were inside the pool hall on Saturday night.

Another man, Ramiro Garcia was taken to Southside Hospital in critical condition.
