Hundreds gathered in Prince's Bay on Saturday to watch former Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco get the keys to a new home built just for him.
The 25-year-old lost all four of his limbs in an explosion in Iraq two years ago.
His home was built thanks to more than $850,000 in donations.
"I'm very overwhelmed. There are a lot of people here and the house looks amazing. I wasn't expecting it and I'm just very happy," Marrocco said.
Marrocco's new three-bedroom house is equipped with an elevator, light sensors and other special fixtures that will allow him to keep his independence.
