Trucks crash, cause delays on NYS Thruway

Two tractor-trailer accidents caused big problems on the New York State Thruway early Monday.

The southbound side of I-87 at exit 17 in Orange County was closed early this morning after a tandem truck hauling milk cartons overturned in Sloatsburg in neighboring Rockland County.

Then a McDonald's truck ran off the road to avoid hitting the first truck, and went down an embankment.

All this happened around 2:40 a.m. The southbound highway was closed for about six hours.

One driver suffered minor injuries.
