New report to address obesity before age 5

A study says childhood obesity numbers have stabilized, but they're not going down either.

The Institute of Medicine is issuing a report Wednesday on how to promote healthy weight in children under the age of 5.

In the United States, obesity prevention efforts usually begin after that, because programs usually begin in kindergarten.

But evidence shows it's critical to start such efforts before children turn 5.
