NE Corridor NJT, Amtrak minor delays

NEW YORK

Amtrak says service along the Northeast corridor between New York and Philadelphia was also delayed after power problems earlier Thursday also temporarily halted service.

NJ Transit's Northeast corridor, North Jersey coastline and Midtown direct services are all restored with significant delays. The agency is cross-honoring tickets and passes on its buses and private carriers. PATH trains are also cross-honoring rail tickets and passes at the Newark, Hoboken and New York stations.

On Tuesday, a transformer fire halted service on the Northeast Corridor for several hours.

Amtrak anticipates that the issue will be resolved over night, with a normal morning rush hour expected.
