The suspect has approached his victims and either simulates or shows the handle of a gun, then demands money or the victim's cell phone, and then flees on foot.
Fortunately, no one has been seriously injured.
The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 35 to 45-years-old, 5'07" to 5'09" tall, 160 -180 lbs., and wearing a black "Scarface" hooded sweatshirt.
The robberies are as follows:
Incident #1 happened on June 10th at 4:30 a.m. The suspect robbed a 37-year-old man of $200 in front of 554 W. 28th Street.
Incident #2 happened on June 11th at 1:40 p.m. The suspect robbed a 36-year-old woman of her iPod as she exited the train station at Broadway & W. 60th Street.
Incident #3 also happened on June 11th at 2:06 p.m. A 34-year-old man was robbed of his iPhone at 7th Avenue & W. 58th Street.
Incident #4 also happened on June 11th at 11:50 p.m. The suspect robbed a 63-year-old man of $50 at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.
Incident #5 happened on June 13th at 2:10 p.m. The suspect made off with a 27-year-old woman's car parked at 428 W. 26th Street. The vehicle was a 2009 Toyota with NY REG # ESJ1608.
Incident #6 happened on June 15th at 12:20 p.m. The suspect robbed a 27-year-old man at Warren Street & West Street in front of the Warren Street Dog Park. He only got away with $27.00.
Incident #7 happened on June 19th at 11:35 p.m. A 23-year-old woman was robbed of her iTouch and just $1.
Incident #8 happened on June 20th at 4:00 a.m. The suspect robbed a 29-year-old man at 330 W. 58th Street and got away with his cell phone.
Incident #9 happened on June 22nd at 4:35 p.m. A 24-year-old man was robbed of her cell phone as she exited the train station at Central Park West & W. 72nd Street.
Incident #10 happened on June 23rd at 12:01 a.m. The suspect stole a 27-year-old woman's cell phone near 235 W. 22nd Street.
