New York City is hoping new signs will make it easier for all everyone to get around.

The new signs will be for pedestrians and will offer detailed maps to help navigate some of the trickier neighborhoods.

According to a city survey, 9 percent of city residents admitted getting lost in the previous week.

And 25 percent of tourists didn't know which borough they were in.

The final design for the signs is still in the works.
